VAL D’ARAN
The Val d'Aran is a high mountain region located at the western end of the Catalan Pyrenees and bordering France. This fact explains the language of the county, Aranese, a variant of the Gascon language, from the Occitan family, which is co-official with Catalan and Spanish.
An area within Spain characterised by high mountain landscapes and long meadows, which in winter are covered with snow to create one of the most picturesque landscapes in the Pyrenees.
