I’m Mara de la Torre, photographer & content creator specialized in travel photography and brand storytelling.
Since always I’ve been interested in photography and capturing how I see the world through the lenses but it wasn’t until 2018 when I started with my first reflex camera. I found it at home, as lot of people in my family is passionate about photography, and I started learning how to use it on a more professional way.
One of the first things that captured my attention were the details, specially drops, so my first picture is a rudimentary macro shot with the kit lens to some water drops after making a home made studio without having the proper materials.
Since then I started capturing nature in all its forms, from details to landscapes and that’s how both of my passions got connected: photography & travel.
I couldn’t stop exploring since then so I decided to let my curiosity about the world flow.
While discovering corners of my country and travelling abroad I was able to discover some of the lesser known places of incredible beauty both in nature and in the city which allowed me to explore new disciplines in photography such as portraiture, architectural photography or street photography.
My work for brands & being published in some local mediums started in 2019 meantime I was also working in the international business field as commercial manager. It was in the beginning of 2022 when I decided to invest all my time in my passion and start my full-time profession in the creative field.

With training, mostly self-taught, in the fundamental principles of photography, composition, image processing, colour theory, storytelling and marketing, I have been able to develop all my skills to achieve my own style where I always try to reflect what captivated me in photography in the beginning: to enjoy the magnificence of the world through light and colour.
